Workshop #1: Bust Your Signature Move

The best leaders have a signature move, and they know how to use it. In this fun and engaging workshop, students discover their “signature moves” (aka - personal strengths and talents) and the best strategies to "bust their moves." They also learn two simple leadership questions so that they can help others lean into their strengths as well.

This is Kent's most requested workshop.

Workshop #2: Leadership Soup

To be a great leader, you have to know how to mix the right ingredients of skills and abilities. In this interactive and entertaining workshop, teens learn essential leadership skills and discover how to mix them together to create their own positive leadership style. Get ready to laugh and learn!

Workshop #3: Everyday Heroes 

True leaders don’t see themselves as heroes, but their actions end up making them everyday heroes. In this workshop, students discover the #1 thing true leaders focus on that turns them into everyday heroes. They will also learn how this #1 thing can help them leave a legacy in the lives of others.

Workshop #4: Leave a Legacy — Launch Your Life 

This workshop follows the same format as the "Everyday Heroes" workshop listed above but adds an additional element. The second part of this workshop teaches the most powerful personal development strategy people can use to become the best version of themselves. Then it shows students how to apply this strategy to successfully launch themselves into their future careers and lives.

Workshop #5: How to Get Hired for Your Dream Job (Even if Your Resume Stinks)

There is both an art and a science to (1) discovering work you love and (2) getting hired for that job. However, the way you do it isn’t even close to what most people think.

It’s never too early to learn the secrets to landing your dream job, and in this workshop, students get a chance to learn these secrets from an engaging career consultant who has helped over 1,000 clients get hired for careers they absolutely love!

Interactive Leadership Training (1-2 Hours Each)

Most organizations schedule 3 to 6 sessions for their state officer training and/or leadership teams. Topics can be combined in a variety of ways to create a leadership training program that fits your specific goals and objectives.

Session #1: True Heroes Champion Heroic Causes (and 3 Heroic Roles)

Session #2: Every Hero Has Superpowers (Part 1 — Discovery)

  • Discovering your superpowers — personality styles & strengths assessment
  • Leadership development — how to effectively use your personality and strengths to grow, serve, and equip your members

Session #3: Every Hero Has Superpowers (Part 2 — Skill Development)

Session #4: True Heroes Are Everyday Heroes

  • The story of a leader — what heroic stories teach us about the true role of a leader
  • Leadership development — "guides" lead themselves first
  • Leadership development — "guides" stay focused on the #1 Thing in successful leadership
  • Leadership development — "guides" know how to bounce back from mistakes
  • Leadership development — "guides" own their stuff (especially online)
  • Leadership development — "guides" leave a legacy

Session #5: Heroes Know How to Share Their Message

Ideal Time Frame: 90 minutes to 2 Hours

Learning Objectives:

  • Review previous session(s)
  • Team building and personal development
  • Skill development — presentation and facilitation skills
  • NOTE: This works best if it is combined with an additional session that allows teams to actually present (aka - "dress rehearsal" of an interactive presentation)

Session #6: True Heroes Map Out Their Plan

  • Skills development — 5 steps to planning a successful event, project, or activity (vision, KRAs, tasks, assignments, timetable)
  • Skill development — when all is said and done (evaluation and review)
  • Implementation — create a planning document for an event, project, or activity
